REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY JANUARY 7, 2013
We will be opening registration at $70 for ALL distances and formats for the 2013 Half Full Triathlon. Upon registration we will be sending out a link to every registrant that will enable them to open a fundraising page or make a donation to UCF. This is all voluntary, but we are hoping that each participant will commit to matching the $70 registration fee in fundraising or direct donation in support of our military that are affected by cancer. Our hope is that this will go viral and more people will learn more about the unique needs of young men and women and choose to support the UCF’s Mission. Each participant who raises a minimum of $70 for this campaign will receive a commemorative t-shirt celebrating our troops battling cancer!
FIGHTING FOR THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR US!
The Half Full Triathlon has always been about raising awareness and funds for the young adult cancer fight. For the Ulman Cancer Fund’s 15th Anniversary, we are going to make a push to be the largest triathlon focused on the young adult cancer fight in the World while raising funds to support our newest Young Adult Patient Navigation Program at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Murtha Cancer Center! The focus on 70 is for the fact that each year, over 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer and their survival rates have not increased in over 25 years!
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HALF FULL
We believe HALF FULL is having hope and optimism in the face of adversity. Whether it is a triathlon or the fight against cancer, HALF FULL is having the determination and positive attitude to get to your finish line. Surrounded by friends, family and fellow athletes – we are all in this fight together. One Mile at a time, we will finish this race, but more importantly – WIN this cancer. Register Now!
